Hi friends,
Hope you’re having a great weekend. It’s raining here in Mumbai. The weather is perfect to sit indoors and catch up on deadlines! How do you pass time during the monsoons? Let me know! I’ve been coming across some interesting calls for submissions lately. I wanted to collate them for you.
I constantly share calls for submissions to literary journals or contests on my social media because I have benefited a lot from publishing in online lit mags and participating in contests.
Please read the guidelines of each magazine/contest very carefully before submitting. Some don’t have an entry fee. Some do. Some pay contributors. It’s important to understand the aesthetics of a magazine before submitting. Here are some tips to navigate the world of lit mags if you are new to it.
One tip: I add deadlines to my calendar and work backwards! Add these deadlines to your calendar now, before you forget. Also, don’t forget to check the timezone of the deadline. Even a few hours count!
